Epoxy Tile Grout

D888 EPOXY TILE GROUT is a two pack grouting material of highest quality that provides aesthetic effect and durability. It prevents stains, spillage, chemical attack in filled groove thickness of tiles, stones.

Application Method:

Surface Preparation :

Tile surface and open grout joints must be cleaned and should be free from dirt, cured tile adhesive debris or standing water.  Remove dust with wire brush and by air blower.

 

Mixing

Mix all content of PACK B to PACK A pouch in a clean pail. Mix liquids thoroughly with margin trowel or slow speed drill mixer.

Grouting Application

After surfaces are cleaned and dried, spread D888 Epoxy Tile Grout mix using a sharp edged rubber float. Apply the grout diagonally across the joints, packing them completely. After grouting, wait for atleast 1 hour before cleaning. Wait longer at colder temperature.

Cleaning

Remove excess grout off the tile surface using the edge of float held at 90°, stroking diagonally to avoid pulling grout out of filled joints. Scrub the floor with DURABRITE. Remove the excess water with the sponge provided. Wipe grout joints and tile surface in a light circular motion, loosening grout residue while making the joints smooth.

Precautions and Limitations:

• Mix the two components (A+B) in correct ratio.
• Change the water frequently to avoid any foreign impurities from entering into the tile joints.
• Change the felt pad and sponge when saturated with product.
• Do not walk on the newly grouted surface in order to avoid damaging the flooring with resin residues.
• Do not cover the newly grouted surface with cloths or other materials so as to prevent the surface carbonation on the product, which may alter the uniformity of the colour.
• Wait for atleast 24-48 hours depending on the temperature before protecting the surface.
• When grouting natural stones/tiles, it is essential to carry out a preliminary test to verify whether the slabs absorb the epoxy resin. If a darker colored halo stains are formed on the surface and sides of the slabs that cannot be removed, grouting cannot be carried out in this case. This problem generally arises with light colored marbles.
• Do not mix the product with water or solvents.
• Do not use the product for applications that are not reported on this datasheet.

Shelf Life:

Store in cool, dry place with 12 months shelf life in unopened conditions.
